
Rob Kadel is a senior research scientist and executive director of research program administration in the Office of the Vice President for Interdisciplinary Research at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His experience spans more than two decades including research and faculty appointments at Penn State, Johns Hopkins, the University of Colorado Denver, and Georgia Tech.
In his current role, Kadel supports faculty and staff across Georgia Tech’s eleven Interdisciplinary research institutes, which research topics ranging from bioengineering to clean energy to advanced manufacturing. Kadel is also an established expert in virtual learning strategies and has developed and taught engaging online courses including criminology, juvenile delinquency, and the sociology of education. His courses are highly popular with students for their incorporation of multimodal learning and collaborative opportunities.
