Amanda is a visiting lecturer in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication at Georgia Tech and a historian of Early Modern Italy whose research focuses on kinship networks and politics. As a former research scientist in C21U, Amanda is a long-time collaborator on innovative educational research. Her work includes research design, facilitation, and project development, research compliance, data analysis, grant consultation, and presenting research to a wide-variety of audiences. Her current and previous research includes the implementation of leading-edge teaching methods, digital assessment and instructional design, and social network analysis. Other research interests include digital pedagogy and the digital humanities, with an emphasis on Historical GIS. A former Brittain Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in LMC at Georgia Tech, she earned her PhD from Emory University in 2011.
