Public and private universities in the US are in trouble. Join Rich DeMillo (PhD ICS '72), who has spent years in both academia and industry, as he offers a roadmap for the twenty-first century. Based on his popular book, "Abelard to Apple: The Fate of American Colleges and Universities," he describes the evolving model for higher education, including Apple's iTunesU, MIT's OpenCourseware, and Georgia Tech's role in defining the technological university of the 21st century.

After the Keynote Presentation, join fellow alumni, students, faculty and staff as we set off Homecoming 2012 right with a Welcome Reception. (No charge for food & non-alcoholic refreshments. Cash bar available).
